First opening of "Master of Decay", a solo show by Marc Christian Osborne. Consisting of various portraits that explore life, death and the beautiful creatures that live between. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to VULPRO, a nonprofit organization specializing in the rehabilitation, education, and protection of African vultures and their avian cousins.

Anna has captured images of the hands of Savannah locals and brought them to life in this collection of her work. "In the Hands of Savannah" is a showcase of the character and beauty of the human hand, presented with Anna's exceptional skill and in The Butcher's intriguing environment.

This exhibition will be a collection of photography by Labeeb Abdullah. Exhibition runs April 21st through June 13th 2016.

The Savannah Tattoo Festival Gallery Exhibition
March through April of 2016, this exhibition included artwork by tattooers and artists working the first annual Savannah Tattoo Festival. Painting shown is "The Observer" by Logan Miles Davis. Keep your eyes on him, as we're hoping to add him to our roster soon!
Patch Whisky "Follow the Monsters" Nov 2015 through Jan 2016
South Carolina's world renowned muralist returns to The Butcher for his 3rd show with us. Patch's playful characters have graced walls all over the eastern and middle US, and he has been featured in magazines and museums from New York to Paris. If you missed his "Follow the Monsters" exhibition with us, don't worry, it won't be the last!
Rob Hessler "The Book of Demons & Angels" Sept. through Nov. 2015
The Book of Demons and Angels comprises drawings by artist Rob Hessler. Previously showing other works in Los Angeles, Boston, and several areas of New Jersey, Hessler debuted this particular body of work here in Savannah at our very own Butcher Art Gallery.

"56" by Kimberly Reed
For the show, "56" by local Savannah artist, Kimberly Reed, she showcased fifty-six small paintings each for $56. All paintings were oil on canvas, ranging in size from 4"x 4" to 6"x 12", $56 each (plus tax, or shipping when applicable.) "The Mermaid Circus" by Lisa Ocampo and Tiffany O'Brien
This whimsy, yet eerie collection of pieces by sisters Lisa Ocampo and Tiffany O'Brien was a glimpse of the shimmer on the stage and the shadows behind the curtain. These "circus" characters playfully illustrate the balance between innocence and experience. Exhibition ran from May 15th-June 20th, 2015.

Axelle Kieffer
Winning awards across Europe for her talent, Axelle Kieffer had an exhibition of her works at The Butcher Gallery here in Savannah! This show featured paintings, collages, and drawings that questioned the human form and portrait in ways most could never imagine. Her dark colors and expressive strokes explore the world underneath the skin. Exhibition ran from March 27th to May 9th, 2015.

Gerome Temple
From November 13th, 2014 until January 8th, 2015, W. Gerome Temple showcased his artwork in a solo exhibition here at The Butcher Gallery!
Using both illustration and painting as his media, W. Gerome Temple has created a body of work that encompasses the natural and the unexplored. Imagination drives his artistic practice while classic modernist tendencies transform his works into tangible viewing experiences.
Exhibiting his work all over the world including England, California, and New York, Temple chose to exhibit this time to his local Savannah community through The Butcher Gallery. His “intense layering process, entirely painted by hand” can only be truly appreciated in an intimate and immediate atmosphere.

"Landmarks" by R. Land
You've seen his work on streets, screens, and in galleries all over the country. R.Land is well known for his quirky style, loveable characters, and prominent murals. In addition to being featured in popular magazines such as "Juxtapoz" and "Art Papers," R.Land has worked with Adult Swim to help create "Squidbillies" and DVD cover art for "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." In this show he revisited some classic favorites and introduced us to some new friends! Exhibition ran from September 12th to November 8th, 2014.

"Fluid Perspectives" by Christina Edwards
Christina uses layers of rich color to build abstract linear pieces that invoke the emotions of landscapes: the hope of dawn; the joy of sunset; the calm of the ocean. You may have seen Christina's works in the past, as she has been honing her talent and skills in our city for years, but you should know that for this show, she has something special up her sleeve. In "Fluid Perspectives," Christina opens a door to new and exciting techniques and redefines herself as an artist. Exhibition ran July 25th - August 31st, 2014.

"Freaks" by Derrick Hickman
"Freaks" is a series of large-scale paintings by Derrick Hickman. This particular body of work illustrates "our culture's embracing of once taboo behaviors and shifting norms." Come see "Monique, the non artificially-enhanced beauty," or "The Unpierced Lady, with only the holes God gave her." This exhibition is playful, insightful, and inspiring. Exhibition ran from June 13th to July 20th, 2015.

"The Three Muses"
Tremain Farrar, Stephanie Meyer, and Michelle Willows come together for this three-woman exhibition of their works, which are primarily illustration, but also painting, graphic design images and more. You can expect epic proportions and fine details in works featuring everything from fashion to fauna. We'll have prints and originals in all shapes and sizes. Exhibition ran from May 9th to June 8th, 2014.

The Butcher gallery welcomes Lauren Redding for her solo senior exhibition of alternative process photography and lapidary jewelry. Who knew the macabre could be so lovely? Show ran from April 4th to April 27th, 2014.
